It is essential that you are covered by adequate travel insurance. We use the RBC Travel Insurance Company. It is a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada and has an excellent reputation in the industry. Our experiences have all been favourable. There is no obligation to buy insurance from us.

RBC Insurance Packages you will want to consider

1. Deluxe Package up to age 74:

Includes coverage for medical costs, trip cancellation for medical reasons, lost and delayed baggage,
flight accident and travel accident insurance

2. Non-Medical Package:

Includes trip cancellation for medical reasons, lost and delayed baggage, flight accident and travel accident insurance. If you already have out of country health insurance you might want this policy

3. Trip Cancellation & Interruption:

This policy covers interruption and trip cancellation for medical reasons. It does not have baggage or medical coverage.

Above options have a special feature for participants sharing a room. If your roommate must cancel, the single supplement you will have to pay to be in a single room will be covered by your insurance.

Premiums for each Insurance Package depend on:

a) cost of trip b) length of stay abroad c) age of passenger when policy is purchased

The package covers you for medical, accident, trip cancellation for medical reasons, baggage, etc and can only be bought 120 days prior to travel. You will be sent a questionnaire to determine which Travelcare product you should choose.

Trip Cancellation & Interruption should be purchased at this time with the update to Travelcare in November 2010.
