Mozart Week in Salzburg 2011

Mahler Festival in Leipzig: May 17-23, 2011

Chicago is one of the great American cities - clean, cultured and classy. Our June 2010 tour includes a concert with the famed Chicago Symphony Orchestra in an all-Beethoven program under Principal Conductor, Bernard Haitink, one of our generation’s greatest conductors. Recently the noted British magazines, the Telegraph and Gramophone both claimed that the CSO was the top U.S. orchestra. Their home, Orchestra Hall is a delight – for the ears as well as the eyes. We will also hear a solo piano recital at Orchestra Hall with the talented young Argentinian pianist Ingrid Fliter in music by Bach, Beethoven and Schumann.

Also offered will be an architectural tour of the city from the river, a must for any Chicago visitor.  In addition, we’ve included a 3-day transit pass so that you can explore Chicago on your own --from our centrally located hotel, all the great attractions are easily accessible. With Frank Lloyd Wright’s home and studio, Oak Park, the famous Art Institute of Chicago, excellent restaurants and shopping and the south side jazz and blues clubs, it will be a musical and cultural excursion that you won’t soon forget!
